In today’s beauty-focused culture, cosmetic procedures can be done all over the body to restore a youthful appearance. Because the hands can show signs of aging perhaps more than any other part of the body, an increasingly popular form of treatment is hand rejuvenation.

As we age, the already-thin layer of skin and collagen on the hands loses volume, resulting in visible veins, tendons and bones. Hand rejuvenation seeks to reverse these effects by restoring volume underneath the skin, as well as resurfacing the skin to correct age spots or other blemishes.

At the Lasky Aesthetics & Laser Center, we approach hand rejuvenation on a case-by-case basis, giving your hands the individual, personalized care they deserve. To find out more about our premier hand rejuvenation services in Beverly Hills, read below or call our office with any questions.

Lasky’s dynamic approach to hand rejuvenation

At the Lasky Aesthetics & Laser Center in Beverly Hills, we know that no two pairs of hands are alike. Because of this, our first step is getting to know your hands through a consultation and examination. During this time, we’ll establish exactly what needs to be corrected and create a personal rejuvenation program for your hands.

In order to give your hands the treatment they deserve, we will likely use dermal fillers in combination with laser resurfacing. This way we can restore your skin’s volume while we concurrently remove age-related blemishes.

Dermal fillers in the hands

In order to give the hands proper, natural-looking volume, our skilled Beverly Hills practitioners may use one or several dermal fillers, including Juvéderm, Radiesse or Perlane. These are injected under the skin into the collagen layer to mimic the natural collagen of the body. Our practitioners have been in the cosmetic industry for decades, and they completely understand the anatomy of the hands. This allows them to apply dermal fillers in a way that looks smooth, natural and beautiful, providing some of the best hand rejuvenation Beverly Hills offers.

Skin resurfacing in the hands

If your hands have developed age spots or other superficial blemishes, your practitioner may use Fraxel laser resurfacing to remove the damaged cells. After firmly establishing the treatment area, your hand will be thoroughly cleansed. The laser is then applied evenly and expertly. This removes the outermost layer of skin on the hands, leaving only the healthy cells underneath. These can then regenerate a new layer of skin, reducing the signs of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and other age-related blemishes.

It may sound weird, but as I got older I had attention on my hands more than anything else. I’m constantly using them, so they are always visible to me. I was starting to see things that I wasn’t supposed to see, like how my veins twisted and turned over the top of my hands. I decided to go to Lasky to see about hand rejuvenation.

New protocols for office visits View Update

New protocols for office visits

May 12th, 2020

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we have instituted many changes to your normal office visit. These changes have been introduced to protect everyone’s health and safety during your visit. All of our staff have been tested for COVID-19 and are negative. They are being monitored daily as well and will be practicing safety guidelines.

  1. If you are sick, do not come to the office. Call our front desk and we will reschedule your appointment promptly once you’re healthy again.
  2. Please wear a mask to your appointment.
  3. Do not bring someone else with you to your appointment. They will not be able to enter the office and wait for you. The only exceptions are for those who require medical assistance or translation assistance. Additionally, please do not bring any pets to the office with you.
  4. The day before your appointment, as in the past, you will be called to confirm your appointment. During that call you will be asked if you have any symptoms like fever, chills, muscle aches, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste. You will also be asked if you have been recently exposed to COVID-19 or have been traveling on a commercial airplane within the last 2 weeks.
  5. When you arrive for your appointment, please call the office from your car. A staff member will either tell you to come up to the office at that time or will ask you to wait in your car until they text you to come up. Before entering the front door of the office, you will be met by a staff member who will take your temperature with a no-touch forehead thermometer to be sure you don’t have a fever. They will again ask you if you have any symptoms of COVID-19. You will be given a mask if you don’t have one, as well as hand sanitizer since you touched the doorknob to enter the office. We will stagger appointments so that on the day of your treatment, you will not interact with any other patients.
  6. You will be taken directly to an exam room which has been cleaned and disinfected just prior to your arrival. There are also air filtration machines installed in each exam room which sterilize the air.
  7. Our medical assistants, who will be wearing N95 masks and protective eye shields, will take your history and prepare you for your visit. You will be asked to sign a new COVID-19 consent form in addition to any of the usual consent forms you may be used to.
  8. After your treatment, you will check out while in the exam room and any products you purchase will be brought to you. If you give us your credit card information the day before your appointment, we can handle the checkout without physically touching your card.
  9. Please try to make your follow up appointments during your office visit. With new scheduling changes and staggered appointments, last minute appointments may be difficult to schedule.
