When hair grows in unwanted places, there are plenty of methods to remove it. The current gold standard in lasting, often permanent hair removal is laser hair removal. At the Lasky Aesthetics & Laser Center in Los Angeles, we offer premier laser hair removal for patients sick of the daily grind of shaving. Further, the underlying skin maintains a silky smooth texture from the lack of shaving. Delivered by our skilled practitioners, Lasky offer some of the best laser hair removal Los Angeles has to offer. Laser hair removal may be the perfect option for you.

Why laser hair removal?

As one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the US, laser hair removal offers rapid, effective and safe results. It is perfect for patients who are sick of shaving, waxing or tweezing unwanted hair. Further, it can be done almost anywhere on the body, completely eliminating the need to ever tweeze or shave again. Other distinct advantages include:

  • Precision: While laser hair removal is often associated with larger areas of the body such as the legs, it can also be used to treat precision areas, such as between the eyebrows. Laser hair removal can also address hair roots while leaving the surrounding skin completely undamaged.
  • Speed: A single laser pulse can eliminate multiple hairs. With each pulse taking a fraction of a second, the procedure is over before you know it.
  • Lasting results: On average, each patient has permanent hair loss after only 4 sessions of laser hair removal.

At Lasky Aesthetics of Los Angeles, we use the Pronto Dual Diode Hair Removal Laser made by Quanta. By combining the proven performance of two distinct wavelengths and three operation modes, the Pronto provides rapid hair removal on all skin types and any hair color. With a record of excellent results in cosmetic centers across the nation, the Pronto will deliver the smooth skin you’ve been looking for.

Thorough preparation for best results

When you first come in to schedule your laser hair removal in Los Angeles, your practitioner will give you brochures with preparation guidelines. She will answer any questions at this time, and help you understand the best way to prepare for the procedure. We’ve included a few of these guidelines to give you some idea of what you should expect.

It’s first important to understand that laser hair removal is an actual medical procedure, requiring extensive training on the part of your practitioner. For this reason, you should fully consider all guidelines set forth before your procedure.

For six weeks prior to your laser hair removal, it is important to avoid tweezing, waxing and any other procedure that affects the root of your hair. The roots need to be present in order for laser hair removal to take effect.

It is also important to avoid sun exposure for six weeks both before and after your treatment. The sun’s rays can negatively affect your treatment.

During your laser hair removal

Laser hair removal is noninvasive, and most patients require no anesthetic. However, we do offer numbing topical cream for your total comfort. This aspect will be discussed prior to the procedure.

As the first step, your practitioner will trim the target area so the hair is only a few millimeters in length. This allows the laser to be placed directly over the follicles, which is necessary for effective treatment.

The laser is then adjusted to the correct setting for your hair’s color, thickness and location, as well as your skin color. Your practitioner will also give you eye protection, as the laser produces a very bright light with each pulse. As a final preparatory measure, your skin will be covered in a cooling gel to give you total comfort during the procedure.

After delivering an initial pulse of light on the treatment area, your practitioner will wait a moment and watch the area. She is looking to make sure the settings on the laser were correct so that the rest of the treatment is as effective as possible. We work to give you the most effective laser hair removal Beverly Hills has available.

After your first appointment, you will be scheduled for a follow-up treatment. Laser hair removal is typically done over 3-5 appointments until the hair stops growing. In most cases, laser hair removal is completely permanent.

When the procedure is completed, you may be given ice packs, anti-inflammatory creams or lotions, or cold water to ease any discomfort. You may schedule your next treatment four to six weeks later. You'll receive treatments until hair stops growing.

At the Lasky Aesthetics and Laser Center, we strive to provide the best laser hair removal in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. We do this by first caring about the patient, understanding his or her goals, and using those to give the best treatment possible. New protocols for office visits View Update

New protocols for office visits

May 12th, 2020

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we have instituted many changes to your normal office visit. These changes have been introduced to protect everyone’s health and safety during your visit. All of our staff have been tested for COVID-19 and are negative. They are being monitored daily as well and will be practicing safety guidelines.

  1. If you are sick, do not come to the office. Call our front desk and we will reschedule your appointment promptly once you’re healthy again.
  2. Please wear a mask to your appointment.
  3. Do not bring someone else with you to your appointment. They will not be able to enter the office and wait for you. The only exceptions are for those who require medical assistance or translation assistance. Additionally, please do not bring any pets to the office with you.
  4. The day before your appointment, as in the past, you will be called to confirm your appointment. During that call you will be asked if you have any symptoms like fever, chills, muscle aches, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste. You will also be asked if you have been recently exposed to COVID-19 or have been traveling on a commercial airplane within the last 2 weeks.
  5. When you arrive for your appointment, please call the office from your car. A staff member will either tell you to come up to the office at that time or will ask you to wait in your car until they text you to come up. Before entering the front door of the office, you will be met by a staff member who will take your temperature with a no-touch forehead thermometer to be sure you don’t have a fever. They will again ask you if you have any symptoms of COVID-19. You will be given a mask if you don’t have one, as well as hand sanitizer since you touched the doorknob to enter the office. We will stagger appointments so that on the day of your treatment, you will not interact with any other patients.
  6. You will be taken directly to an exam room which has been cleaned and disinfected just prior to your arrival. There are also air filtration machines installed in each exam room which sterilize the air.
  7. Our medical assistants, who will be wearing N95 masks and protective eye shields, will take your history and prepare you for your visit. You will be asked to sign a new COVID-19 consent form in addition to any of the usual consent forms you may be used to.
  8. After your treatment, you will check out while in the exam room and any products you purchase will be brought to you. If you give us your credit card information the day before your appointment, we can handle the checkout without physically touching your card.
  9. Please try to make your follow up appointments during your office visit. With new scheduling changes and staggered appointments, last minute appointments may be difficult to schedule.
