Hyperpigmentation (uneven skin tone) on facial skin can be embarrassing, and can distract from your natural beauty. Age spots, sun spots, acne scars, freckles and dulled skin can give you a worn, aged, weathered look. You can brighten your skin and attain a smoother, more youthful appeal with a Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel at Lasky Aesthetics & Laser Center.

Hyperpigmentation appears in various forms, all of which affect clarity and the natural glow of your facial skin. Uneven skin tone may become noticeable after hormonal changes, from acne breakouts or blemishes, or the result of extended sun exposure. The Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel breaks down areas of discoloration to correct uneven tone and smooth the texture of your skin.

Benefits of the Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel

Beyond effectively restoring a more even skin tone, the Cosmelan Peel also helps to improve acne by balancing oils in your skin. The procedure itself is gentle and painless, with minor discomfort and minimal healing time. The results appear quickly, and you can improve your facial skin quality, tone, and texture for many months with one fast treatment.

New to the skincare market, the Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel is gaining in popularity as it is highly-effective for a range of skin colors, unlike some other chemical peels that are best for people with specific skin colors. You can restore a healthy, youthful glow to your facial skin with this safe and effective treatment.

Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel Procedure

The Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel begins in-office at Lasky Aesthetics & Laser Center, and is completed in the comfort of your home. During your visit to our clinic, your skin will be cleansed and then the Cosmelan mask will be applied. Depending on the degree and type of hyperpigmentation, such as freckles, sun spots, age spots, or melasma, the mask may need to remain in place for approximately six to twelve hours. You will be provided with detailed instructions for the at-home portion of your treatment.

Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel in Beverly Hills

Lasky Aesthetics & Laser Center is a world-class Los Angeles clinic offering cosmetic and skincare treatments for a wide variety of conditions. Our team of doctors and dermatologists offer comprehensive treatments in a compassionate and comforting setting, where you will feel at ease and cared for as an individual. We invite you to visit us and find out more about the Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel – the results of this treatment are truly impressive.

The Peel Begins…

Caring for your skin is critical to the longevity of your results. Your skin will begin to peel approximately two to three days after the mask treatment. For the first few weeks your skin may be sensitive and sunscreen must be applied prior to going out-of-doors. You should also refrain from wearing makeup or using other lotions and ointments while your skin is going through the regenerative process of peeling and shedding

One Week Later…

Within one week you should notice clearer, brighter skin, even in tone and with a supple, youthful texture. Your skin will continue to improve over the next few weeks following the procedure, and will appear smoother, glowing with health.

At-Home Care

Once you arrive back at home, you will remove the mask after the prescribed time using the cleanser provided. You will then apply the Mesoetetic Hydra-Vital Factor K to lock in your skin’s moisture. You will need to apply the Cosmelan II cream two or three times per day for the first two weeks, and then once a day. The at-home portion is easy to fit into your daily routine, and your new, vibrant skin will soon be revealed.

How long does the Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel take?

Your in-office visit requires very little time. It only takes a few minutes to apply the mask to your skin, and then you will be given detailed instructions regarding your at-home care. The in-office visit requires less than an hour. The home portion of the process requires less than thirty minutes per day – but is a critical aspect in the success of the treatment.

Who is a good candidate for the Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel?

Most women and men over the age of eighteen can benefit from the Cosmelan Peel. You must be in generally good health and be committed to completing the at-home portion of the procedure. Women who are pregnant or nursing should delay their treatment. Anyone who has used Accutane in the last six months and those with rosacea must be evaluated to determine if the treatment is appropriate. We can quickly advise you whether you are a good candidate for the Cosmelan Peel.

How does the Cosmelan Peel work?

The formula of the Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel slows the production of melanin, slowly fading age spots, sun spots, freckles or other areas of uneven skin tone. The key ingredient is an enzyme known as Tyrosinase, which is responsible for the reduction in melanin production.

Is the Cosmelan Peel painful?

The Cosmelan Peel is not painful. No anesthesia is necessary and the peel is gentle, with most patients only reporting a mild stinging sensation that quickly fades. The Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel is a painless, non-invasive way to dramatically improve the look of dark spots and other skin discolorations.

What results can I expect from a Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel?

The correction of hyperpigmentation on facial skin produces a glowing, even, clear complexion. Your skin will appear brighter, making you look younger and more attractive. Your rejuvenated skin enhances your features and brings out your natural beauty. You can enjoy glowing, even-toned skin with a Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel from Lasky Aesthetics & Laser Center.

How long will I need to take off work for the procedure?

Although the procedure is not painful, most patients choose to take a few days off work during the initial healing process. In the first few days your skin will peel and flake, and you may not want to present this appearance at work. Most patients return to work after the initial peeling phase is over.

Will I need subsequent treatments?

Your smooth and youthful skin will last for a long time with proper care and attention. Some patients will undergo subsequent treatments, but the results are long-lasting. Avoiding sun exposure will help prolong results.
