While some amount of facial and body hair is preferable in maintaining a masculine image, too much hair can be undesirable, both aesthetically and functionally. Overgrowth on the back, arms, or chest can cause embarrassment and discomfort. Overly thick eyebrows, ear or neck hair may also be unsightly. And as most male clients who suffer from excess hair are well aware, shaving, waxing and tweezing can become unduly tedious, offering only temporary relief. Even electrolysis, once considered a pioneering hair removal procedure, can be painful and require a lengthy downtime.

At Lasky, we find that our male patients enjoy the most satisfaction and best results with laser hair removal for men. This subtle, advanced technology can thin or even completely remove unwanted hair from any area of the body, all while ensuring maximum client comfort and permanent outcomes. With rapid precision, targeted hair follicles are penetrated by nuanced energy micropulses, while the surrounding skin remains undamaged and intact. At long last, you can feel confident going to the beach, taking your shirt off on a hot day, or snuggling up to a significant other who will be delighted with your smooth, silky skin.

What kind of laser does Lasky use?

The Pronto Dual Diode Hair Removal Laser by Quanta offers patients the widest range of settings and wavelengths, making for a highly versatile treatment that can accommodate all skin types and hair colors. Not only is the Pronto the fastest laser on the market, it is also the most comfortable, employing a cutting edge system of simultaneous cooling that keeps skin temperature in check.

Setting up your private consultation

When you first enter our cozy yet sophisticated offices in Beverly Hills, you will immediately sense the warmth and friendliness of our staff. After a quick tour of our state-of-the-art facilities and advanced, groundbreaking equipment, your board certified physician will examine you, review medical records and make the best recommendations for moving forward with a customized treatment plan for your needs.

The consultation is a wonderful time to ask questions, discuss concerns, and review our fantastic library of before and after photographs, which will give you a better idea of the kind of outstanding results you can expect at Lasky Aesthetics in Los Angeles . Your doctor will also explain the action plans for before your treatment and afterwards. Sun exposure is especially discouraged, as this can have a detrimental effect on your hair removal results.

During the procedure

Most Beverly Hills Lasky clients find that they do not require anesthesia. However, numbing agents are available should the need for greater comfort arise. Before administering the laser treatment, your technician will cut the hair down to mere millimeters, ensuring the most accurate and efficient approach is achieved. After the laser settings are fine-tuned to the patient’s individual parameters, the eyes are covered with protective gear and the skin receives a layer of soothing gel. Finally, the lasers emit their potent energy, clearing the unwanted hairs from the body within a matter of minutes.

Recovering from male laser hair removal

Discomfort after the treatment tends to be minor; however, you may benefit from applying an ice pack, cold compress or healing serums to the skin’s surface. Any redness or tingling is on par with a mild sunburn and will subside within a matter of hours. Los Angeles hair removal patients can return to normal activities and work duties right away. Once again, sun exposure is to be rigorously avoided while the skin recovers.

What kind of results can I expect?

Depending on the amount of hair to be removed, laser treatments may need to be repeated several times. Generally permanent hair reduction or elimination can be achieved within 4 sessions, with touch up appointments scheduled once a year.

New protocols for office visits View Update

New protocols for office visits

May 12th, 2020

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we have instituted many changes to your normal office visit. These changes have been introduced to protect everyone’s health and safety during your visit. All of our staff have been tested for COVID-19 and are negative. They are being monitored daily as well and will be practicing safety guidelines.

  1. If you are sick, do not come to the office. Call our front desk and we will reschedule your appointment promptly once you’re healthy again.
  2. Please wear a mask to your appointment.
  3. Do not bring someone else with you to your appointment. They will not be able to enter the office and wait for you. The only exceptions are for those who require medical assistance or translation assistance. Additionally, please do not bring any pets to the office with you.
  4. The day before your appointment, as in the past, you will be called to confirm your appointment. During that call you will be asked if you have any symptoms like fever, chills, muscle aches, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste. You will also be asked if you have been recently exposed to COVID-19 or have been traveling on a commercial airplane within the last 2 weeks.
  5. When you arrive for your appointment, please call the office from your car. A staff member will either tell you to come up to the office at that time or will ask you to wait in your car until they text you to come up. Before entering the front door of the office, you will be met by a staff member who will take your temperature with a no-touch forehead thermometer to be sure you don’t have a fever. They will again ask you if you have any symptoms of COVID-19. You will be given a mask if you don’t have one, as well as hand sanitizer since you touched the doorknob to enter the office. We will stagger appointments so that on the day of your treatment, you will not interact with any other patients.
  6. You will be taken directly to an exam room which has been cleaned and disinfected just prior to your arrival. There are also air filtration machines installed in each exam room which sterilize the air.
  7. Our medical assistants, who will be wearing N95 masks and protective eye shields, will take your history and prepare you for your visit. You will be asked to sign a new COVID-19 consent form in addition to any of the usual consent forms you may be used to.
  8. After your treatment, you will check out while in the exam room and any products you purchase will be brought to you. If you give us your credit card information the day before your appointment, we can handle the checkout without physically touching your card.
  9. Please try to make your follow up appointments during your office visit. With new scheduling changes and staggered appointments, last minute appointments may be difficult to schedule.
