Clear and Brilliant for Acne and Oily Skin

If you struggle with acne or oily skin, you know how difficult and expensive it can be to find home treatments and over-the-counter products that really work. While regular facials, specialized acne facials, and chemical peels can help reduce acne and keep oily skin conditions under control, some patients require more. Luckily, there is another way to deal with acne that is effective, gentle, and non-invasive. Clear and Brilliant for acne and oily skin is a laser treatment that is FDA approved for treating blemishes as well as a host of other skin concerns, and it’s available here at the Lasky Aesthetics and Laser Center in Beverly Hills.

Why Patients Choose Clear and Brilliant for Acne and Oily Skin

One of the biggest reasons our patients love Clear and Brilliant is that it's one of the gentler laser options available. This means the recovery time is a fraction of what it would be for typical laser resurfacing treatments, and side-effects are minimal.

Not only is Clear and Brilliant one of the mildest forms of laser resurfacing, but it offers a myriad of benefits aside from eliminating surface blemishes. These benefits include reduced pore size, enhanced skin radiance, reduced hyperpigmentation and increased collagen production for rejuvenation and anti-aging.

Typically, the procedure starts with a topical numbing cream. Once the cream has been given time to work, a handheld laser device will be gently and evenly passed over the skin to ensure uniform contact. After the treatment is completed, a soothing, hydrating mask by SkinCeuticals is applied; this helps with moisture and reduces facial redness from the treatment. Afterward, we put patients under an LED light to reduce redness and inflammation. Post-treatment, you will be able to leave and go about your normal day; however, you can expect some redness and slight swelling. The entire procedure usually takes about 30 minutes.

Celebrities Love Clear and Brilliant

Celebrities can't get enough of Clear and Brilliant for acne, oily skin, and to improve overall texture, tone, reduce pores, wrinkles, and fine lines. Everyone knows that celebrities spend their lives scrutinized by paparazzi and video cameras, so they have to maintain a flawless appearance at all times. While it used to be taboo for celebrities to tell their beauty secrets, many have started to open up about what they do to stay looking youthful and radiant.

Drew Barrymore swears by Clear and Brilliant for maintaining healthy, clear and glowing skin, and Christie Brinkley raves about the procedure as well. Barrymore has said that Clear and Brilliant is her go-to treatment for evening her skin tone and eliminating melasma, and Brinkley says she loves how young and fresh the treatments make her face.

New protocols for office visits View Update

New protocols for office visits

May 12th, 2020

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we have instituted many changes to your normal office visit. These changes have been introduced to protect everyone’s health and safety during your visit. All of our staff have been tested for COVID-19 and are negative. They are being monitored daily as well and will be practicing safety guidelines.

  1. If you are sick, do not come to the office. Call our front desk and we will reschedule your appointment promptly once you’re healthy again.
  2. Please wear a mask to your appointment.
  3. Do not bring someone else with you to your appointment. They will not be able to enter the office and wait for you. The only exceptions are for those who require medical assistance or translation assistance. Additionally, please do not bring any pets to the office with you.
  4. The day before your appointment, as in the past, you will be called to confirm your appointment. During that call you will be asked if you have any symptoms like fever, chills, muscle aches, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste. You will also be asked if you have been recently exposed to COVID-19 or have been traveling on a commercial airplane within the last 2 weeks.
  5. When you arrive for your appointment, please call the office from your car. A staff member will either tell you to come up to the office at that time or will ask you to wait in your car until they text you to come up. Before entering the front door of the office, you will be met by a staff member who will take your temperature with a no-touch forehead thermometer to be sure you don’t have a fever. They will again ask you if you have any symptoms of COVID-19. You will be given a mask if you don’t have one, as well as hand sanitizer since you touched the doorknob to enter the office. We will stagger appointments so that on the day of your treatment, you will not interact with any other patients.
  6. You will be taken directly to an exam room which has been cleaned and disinfected just prior to your arrival. There are also air filtration machines installed in each exam room which sterilize the air.
  7. Our medical assistants, who will be wearing N95 masks and protective eye shields, will take your history and prepare you for your visit. You will be asked to sign a new COVID-19 consent form in addition to any of the usual consent forms you may be used to.
  8. After your treatment, you will check out while in the exam room and any products you purchase will be brought to you. If you give us your credit card information the day before your appointment, we can handle the checkout without physically touching your card.
  9. Please try to make your follow up appointments during your office visit. With new scheduling changes and staggered appointments, last minute appointments may be difficult to schedule.
