Feminine Rejuvenation with Non Surgical ThermiVA
Do your lady parts suffer from frequent chafing, infections and a whole host of other problems? Trying to find a swimsuit or a pair of yoga pants that fits properly can also be quite challenging. And don’t get us started on incontinence that comes with age or just bringing our little bundles of joy into the world.
The problem doesn’t just affect your clothing selection; it can also affect your sex life. Instead of enjoying intimate time with your mate, you may dread those romantic moments in the bedroom, which may create feelings of pain, not pleasure. If any of this sounds all too familiar, you aren’t alone. There are countless other women just like you who are looking for a solution that delivers results without the burden of costly, invasive surgery and the pain and downtime that come with it.
If you're eager to reclaim control of the situation and regain your sense of confidence and comfort, ThermiVA may be just the solution you're looking for. ThermiVA is a non-surgical feminine rejuvenation procedure designed with real women in mind who don’t just want it to look prettier “down there,” but want to feel more comfortable in everyday life.
What is Feminine Rejuvenation?
Feminine rejuvenation has developed a bad reputation in recent years. Talks of “porn star vaginas” and a general misunderstanding of women’s personal hygiene needs has driven many women to feel shame and embarrassment when talking about making a change to their most intimate body parts.
What opponents to feminine rejuvenation treatments don’t realize, however, is that as women grow older, many find that their vulvar skin and vagina lose elasticity. The external and internal areas become loose and irritated, causing frequent infections and chafing. Instead of enjoying sex, orgasms become non-existent; instead of wearing a bathing suit, women hide themselves in embarrassment of an oversized labia; and a good strong cough could send you running for a change of clothing due to incontinence.
ThermiVA utilizes radiofrequency waves via a special probe to help tighten the skin and improve the look and function of the vagina. Feminine rejuvenation can tighten the vagina, which in turn can improve your sex life and eliminate problems associated with incontinence, tight clothing and even correct vaginal dryness and itching. The whole process is designed to enhance and rejuvenate your labial skin to leave you with a smaller, less prominent labia while tightening the internal vaginal wall.
Feminine Rejuvenation and Incontinence
Incontinence is the reduced ability to hold urine often caused by age, pregnancy and/or childbirth. It’s an embarrassing and physically uncomfortable condition that many women live with, but few talk about. Some women are prescribed medications for incontinence, but this doesn’t work for everyone. Others will opt for surgery at the recommendation of their gynecologist or urologist. While surgical intervention or medications may be necessary for some patients, others can find some relief through non-surgical feminine rejuvenation using ThermiVA.
Vaginal Dryness and Infections Corrected by ThermiVA
The older we get, the more likely we are to experience chronic vaginal dryness and infections. This is often seen in women who have had a few children or are going through menopause, but it can be caused by other issues as well. With ThermiVA, the heat generated by the wand stimulates the vagina to produce natural moisture on its own, providing the patient relief from dryness. This result provides long-term, healthy vaginal moisture for the patient.
For patients who have frequent infections, these can be caused by chafing, itching, dryness and other issues related to aging, childbirth and incontinence. ThermiVA can help resolve these chronic infections by correcting the causes of the problem -- loose, dry skin and incontinence.
ThermiVA vs Labiaplasty for Feminine Rejuvenation
One of the main differences between labiaplasty and ThermiVA is that one is non-surgical and the other is a surgical procedure. ThermiVA is designed to help shrink skin and tissues, tighten your vaginal canal, enhance orgasms, shrink the labia majora and aid in incontinence, all without surgery. Labiaplasty is a form of cosmetic surgery that doesn’t tighten the vaginal canal or help with incontinence. Instead, it removes the labia minora and excises the labia majora. If you have a long labia minora or oversized labia majora, labiaplasty might be your only option. Individuals who aren’t interested in going through surgery or aren’t a candidate for labiaplasty may also find a solution in ThermiVA. This procedure also treats mild prolapse, mild incontinence and vaginal dryness, while labiaplasty does not. To know which procedure is right for you, it’s best to consult with a medical provider.
ThermiVA Feminine Rejuvenation FAQ
How Is ThermiVA Administered?
After you're settled into position, the provider will place the device on every zone where feminine rejuvenation is needed for a period of three to five minutes. General areas treated include the ventral, dorsal, right and left sides of your vaginal wall, and right and left labia majora. Each session lasts less than 30 minutes. A complete treatment package consists of three treatments performed about four to six weeks apart. You can resume normal activities, including intercourse, immediately after treatment. The heat sensation used to perform the procedure resembles a hot wax treatment from a typical waxing appointment.
The constant motion ensures your feminine rejuvenation treatment never becomes uncomfortable. You will notice a significant improvement in comfort and moistness, orgasmic function, vaginal appearance and incontinence. Many women who have undergone the procedure even report multiple orgasms during intercourse, making a much more satisfying sex life another perk of ThermiVA.
While you might notice some tightening immediately after the procedure, it can take a few months for the full results to become visible. Results will generally last about nine months to one year, after which time a touch-up may be required. After the initial treatment, you only need one to two sessions for the entire year to maintain the results.
How Long Does a ThermiVA Treatment Take?
Each ThermiVA treatment takes about half an hour. For the initial treatment, you will need to go through a series of three treatments over the course of about three months. This means you have a total investment of about 1.5 hours to get the results you desire. After the initial round of treatment, you will go in one to two times per year to maintain the results. Essentially, an hour or so every year can keep everything looking amazing! The amount of time you'll need to invest is relatively minimal when compared to the outcome you'll enjoy as a result.
How Many Feminine Rejuvenation Treatments Will I Need?
The initial ThermiVA procedure requires three treatments. Each feminine rejuvenation treatment is performed about four to six weeks apart. After those three main treatments, you will need to go in one to two times per year for a touch-up to help maintain your results.
Will It Hurt? Can Anesthesia Be Used?
One of the best things about the ThermiVA treatment is that you don’t have to worry about suffering any significant pain during or after the procedure. It doesn’t require any anesthetic whatsoever. In fact, you can resume your normal activities–including sexual intercourse–the same day. This is what makes ThermiVA such a great procedure for those who are worried about pain or have an aversion to anesthesia.
Is ThermiVA Safe?
ThermiVA is currently pending FDA approval for vaginal tightening and has a patent pending with the USPTO. The treatment is done in the office, so no need for hospital visits or time off work. It is one of the safest feminine rejuvenation procedures available!
Is There Any Downtime with a ThermiVA Treatment?
When you go in for a ThermiVA treatment, you can get back to your normal activities immediately. There's no need to take time off from work to recover. This makes the procedure ideal for those who cannot afford to miss work, yet still want to eliminate loose skin and vaginal issues.
How Much Does ThermiVA Cost?
The cost will vary depending on the specialist performing the procedure. Lasky Aesthetics and Laser Center is here to discuss any questions you may have if you're interested in these treatments.
Is ThermiVA Covered by Insurance?
Since vaginal looseness isn’t generally considered a medical necessity, insurance companies often won't cover the procedure. ThermiVA typically costs less than other feminine rejuvenation procedures, however, making it a great option when cost is a concern.
I Found a ThermiVA Deal on Groupon. Should I Purchase It?
While everyone wants to save money, this isn’t something you should do when selecting a provider for such a delicate procedure. You don’t want to choose someone based on their overall cost. You want to choose a provider with a solid reputation in their field due to years of experience and education. The quality of the provider should ultimately take precedence over a group deal found online.
How Long Will My Results Last?
After going through the series of treatments, you can expect your results to last about nine months to one year. You will need to go in and have a touch-up performed one to two times per year to maintain the results from your procedure.
