Is a Botox Brow Lift Right for You?

The earliest indications of aging often occur around the eyes where small wrinkles develop. These creases can affect the appearance of the entire face and cause it to appear haggard. In the past, only surgery could correct this issue. Now there is a less invasive option: the Botox brow lift. This nonsurgical procedure can prevent and reverse various issues that cause the eyes to appear older and tired.

How Does Botox Work?

Your eyebrow, forehead and eyelid muscles work against each other as you smile or frown. Certain muscles pull down the forehead, while others pull the brows upward. When the forehead descends too much, loose skin folds over the eyelid. Botox creates a temporary relaxation of the muscles in a specific area. This allows the muscles pulling the brow line up to do so without resistance.

What Is a Botox Procedure Like?

Treatment involves the injection of Botox into or around specific muscles. The procedure takes just minutes, but the results can last between 3-5 months. A topical numbing agent may be applied to the skin to make the process virtually painless. Within two or three weeks, any swelling or bruising will fade, and your brow will appear more refreshed and youthful.

Who Are Good Candidates for a Botox Brow Lift?

If you want a slight change and don’t have enough skin to surgically remove, you can benefit from a non-surgical brow lift. If you have sagging eyebrows, deeply set furrows across your forehead or crinkles at the outer corners of your eyes, you may want to consider undergoing this procedure. You can talk to one of our experienced Botox injection practitioners about your expectations regarding brow position.

What Are the Advantages of a Botox Brow Lift?

Botox injections are minimally invasive, the procedure costs less than surgery and there aren’t as many risks involved. Recovery is also much easier and quicker. Botox brow lifts improve the shape and position of the eyebrows, providing a subtle, natural and temporary lift to the forehead. Frown lines and wrinkles near the eyes disappear, leaving a beautiful, smooth surface and delaying the need for a surgical brow lift procedure as Botox not only reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles but slows down the creation of new lines and wrinkles, slowing the aging process.

If you want to brighten and revitalize your entire face, begin with your eyes. A Botox brow lift is one of the safest, quickest and easiest methods for rejuvenating and refreshing the eyes and brow line. Each visit is personalized to fit your needs, which ensures optimal results. When you look in the mirror, you may finally see the vibrant and youthful look you’ve been dreaming about. New protocols for office visits View Update

New protocols for office visits

May 12th, 2020

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we have instituted many changes to your normal office visit. These changes have been introduced to protect everyone’s health and safety during your visit. All of our staff have been tested for COVID-19 and are negative. They are being monitored daily as well and will be practicing safety guidelines.

  1. If you are sick, do not come to the office. Call our front desk and we will reschedule your appointment promptly once you’re healthy again.
  2. Please wear a mask to your appointment.
  3. Do not bring someone else with you to your appointment. They will not be able to enter the office and wait for you. The only exceptions are for those who require medical assistance or translation assistance. Additionally, please do not bring any pets to the office with you.
  4. The day before your appointment, as in the past, you will be called to confirm your appointment. During that call you will be asked if you have any symptoms like fever, chills, muscle aches, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste. You will also be asked if you have been recently exposed to COVID-19 or have been traveling on a commercial airplane within the last 2 weeks.
  5. When you arrive for your appointment, please call the office from your car. A staff member will either tell you to come up to the office at that time or will ask you to wait in your car until they text you to come up. Before entering the front door of the office, you will be met by a staff member who will take your temperature with a no-touch forehead thermometer to be sure you don’t have a fever. They will again ask you if you have any symptoms of COVID-19. You will be given a mask if you don’t have one, as well as hand sanitizer since you touched the doorknob to enter the office. We will stagger appointments so that on the day of your treatment, you will not interact with any other patients.
  6. You will be taken directly to an exam room which has been cleaned and disinfected just prior to your arrival. There are also air filtration machines installed in each exam room which sterilize the air.
  7. Our medical assistants, who will be wearing N95 masks and protective eye shields, will take your history and prepare you for your visit. You will be asked to sign a new COVID-19 consent form in addition to any of the usual consent forms you may be used to.
  8. After your treatment, you will check out while in the exam room and any products you purchase will be brought to you. If you give us your credit card information the day before your appointment, we can handle the checkout without physically touching your card.
  9. Please try to make your follow up appointments during your office visit. With new scheduling changes and staggered appointments, last minute appointments may be difficult to schedule.
