Before fully completing her transgender transition through gender reassignment surgery, actress and model Plastic Martyr came to Lasky Aesthetics and Laser Center in Beverly Hills to receive non-surgical cosmetic treatments to help her along her journey to become who she always truly was. We are thrilled to have been a part of her journey and pride ourselves in being an LGBT-friendly medical spa in Los Angeles.
When people think of cosmetic treatments for transgender transition, the first procedure that comes to mind is gender reassignment surgery. However, for the majority of transgender patients, gender reassignment isn’t at the very top of the list of cosmetic procedures.
Before gender reassignment surgery, most patients want to change how they look to people on the street. This is especially true for patients transitioning from male to female. They seek out procedures like laser hair removal on the face and facial feminization surgery.
Laser hair removal is where Plastic Martyr started, and it’s a common choice for most transgender patients who are transitioning from male to female. It’s a simple, non-invasive, less expensive procedure compared to what lies ahead on the transgender transition journey. However, for many of our transgender patients, the primary goal is facial feminization. The challenge is cost and downtime associated with facial plastic surgery.
That’s why we offer facial feminization procedures using injectables and laser skin resurfacing, giving transgender patients temporary, non-surgical results without the expensive of a plastic surgery procedure. Our talented, experienced providers know how to work with facial anatomy to such a degree that they understand the little changes required to make a face look more female as well as how to maintain a masculine appearance when placing injectables. It’s all about the needs and goals of the patient.
We love our beautiful patient @plasticmartyr and everything she represents!✨Here's a repost of her journey with us that we had the privilege of being a part of❤️#Repost @plasticmartyr (@get_repost) ・・・ Good afternoon everyone! The saying "You have to suffer to be beautiful" is way too accurate. Today I am getting laser done. I am a huge fan of laser hair removal but getting it on your no-no bits is one of the most painful things I've ever experienced and I've done a lot of crazy bizarre beauty treatments. This is a necessary part of my gender confirming surgery and one more stepping stone in my journey. I highly recommend laser for both trans and cis-gender people. I've been doing it for years and it's saved me. ❤😚💋 #laskyaesthetics #laserhair
At Lasky Aesthetics and Laser Center in Beverly Hills, we offer the following non-surgical cosmetic treatments to aid in the transgender transition process:
Laser Hair Removal: We do full head-to-toe laser hair removal services for all of our patients. As stated above, this is often one of the first procedures that transgender patients request. Laser hair removal is safe, non-invasive, and provides long-term results.
Facial Feminization: It’s not surgery, but it’s a great way to soften your appearance during your male-to-female transition. Some of the treatments we offer include Botox to soften a strong jawline, cheek fillers, lip injections, and laser skin resurfacing.
Body Contouring: Non-surgical fat reduction can help with stubborn pockets of fat or to make little tweaks to help you achieve a shapely female silhouette. We also now offer Sculptra buttock injections to help shape and enhance your derriere. There are many possibilities, and while not all treatments are good options for all of our patients, we will work with you to find the procedures that can help you through your transgender transition.
No matter where you are in your transgender transition journey, we have non-surgical treatments to help you every step of the way. Contact our LGBT-friendly medical spa to discuss treatment options available and schedule a consultation with one of our providers.
